Spokentocht Professional Development - the finish

At has now been 3 weeks since the actual Spokentoch happend. A lot has happend between the last update and the actual event. Let me get you up to speed:

During the summer holidays up until the event we met every Sunday for about 5 to 6 hours to build the settings. For me this meant I had to build the front of our house and find a bed with mattress, but also props for people to use to scare the groups that will walk the Spokentocht. We arranged two shovels and some metal tools to hit the shovels with to scare the people. We also bought a led candle and talked to the organization to get all the clothing together.

On the day itself I worked from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m to set everything up, to get my volunteers ( a group of about 10 people) in their costumes and get their make-up done. After that we took our places and we talked through the evening once more. At 7 o’clock the event started, and it went great. We had the best organized group of the 5 groups in total that were in the field scaring people.

This year we had in total about 130 volunteers and more than 700 people who took part as a participant in the Spokentocht.

Next year I will help again as one of the main persons in the organization. This will then be our 10 year anniversary.

The photos of this year's Spokentocht can be found below.
